A strong chain designed specifically for E-Bikes, and to be able to work efficiently under the stress and loads that E-bikes put on the drivetrain. 

EPT Coating

The environmentally friendly EcoProTeQ technology (EPT) from KMC protects chains against corrosion for twice as long as conventional rust protection, setting a new standard. Each component of every chain link is treated separately with EPT. This means a 100% coating that offers the lowest possible attack by water, salt, and air humidity.

Another characteristic of EPT: The very smooth surface gives chains excellent running qualities. Dirt buildup is minimised in the long term, which means that chain maintenance is significantly relieved.

Recommended Care intervals

  • Road Bikes: KMC recommends caring for your KMC Waxed at the latest after 250 km or at least once a month.
  • MTB, cross and frequent riders in all weather conditions: After 100 km at the latest.

Rewaxing

  • The chain must be dry before applying the wax
  • The chain does not need to be dewaxed 
  • Shake the bottle and apply to the inside of the chain (One complete turn)
  • Do not wipe off excess wax. 
  • Allow to dry completely before riding, especially in wet conditions
